The Operating Company (OpCo) Europe Export & Global Duty Free (EE&GDF) is responsible for all 3rd party Export & License business in Europe and for the Duty Free channels globally. The EE&GDF OpCo manages independently a large portfolio of brands lead by Heineken®, and has a strategic role for the development of portfolio across multiple markets. Our head office is based in Amsterdam, however we have a branch in Sweden as well (Green Label Brands AB), which is looking after the Swedish market primarily. The organization is young, multicultural, professional and ambitious.
As Business Analyst for the Nordics, you will be the sole finance professional based in the Stockholm office and will be in charge of financial activities such as monthly tax reporting, reporting to authorities and being in charge of the external tax audit for the Swedish operations as well as ensuring overall compliance with Swedish tax and accounting regulations. You will also be assisting the OpCo's business units in the Nordics, Baltics and Eastern Europe in matters such as financial closing, planning and forecasting.
Moreover, you will also work as a business partner to the License commercial departments in the Nordics, Baltics and Eastern Europe by following up, reporting and analyzing results, constructing business cases and acting as a sparring partner. Among other things, this includes assisting in the development of the strategic 3 year plan, including commercial developments, strategies, targets, budget and action activity planning. You will improve the reporting and insights on volume, price/mix and build-up of relevant managerial reporting.
You will be in close contact with stakeholders around Europe. As the role implies frequent travels to the company headquarters in Amsterdam, willingness to travel within Europe for up to a week per month will be a must.
Your main tasks will be:
- Monthly statutory reporting and preparation of annual report for the Swedish entity
- Monthly closing and reporting as well as planning and forecasting for the international License commercial department
- Business partnering to internal stakeholders by following up on results and acting as business partner
- Proactively work to ensure stakeholder alignment on improvement projects and initiatives
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for candidates with a financial background, commercial interest and a strong sense of personal drive. We are primarily looking for candidates with experience from accounting and financial control who also have some experience working close to the commercial side of the business. Strong English and Swedish skills are mandatory.
As you report to the OpCo's Business Controller and Finance Director who are based in the Netherlands, the candidate must be able and enjoy to work independently. The close interactions with teams and stakeholders across Europe also puts a strong emphasis on the candidate's ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
Key characteristics of the successful candidate include:
- Master's degree within business/economics
- 3-5 years' experience of accounting and financial controlling
- Commercial experience is considered a strong merit
- Experience from the FMCG industry is considered a merit
- Fluency in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
- Strong Excel skills
- Dynamism and drive, ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel up to 5 days per month
