Arbetsbeskrivning

As Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will develop and implement PMC Hydraulics' sourcing and supplier strategy within hydraulic components and related categories. You will ensure competitive total cost of ownership, stable supply chains, and strategic supplier partnerships that support our long-term business goals.

You will be part of the Supply Chain organization and collaborate closely with Procurement, Sales, Engineering, Production, and Quality. While technical product ownership sits elsewhere, solid understanding of hydraulics is important to operate independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct market and supplier analyses focusing on cost, risk, and opportunities.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives, tenders, and contract negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strategic international supplier relationships.
  • Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure supplier performance through KPIs covering cost, delivery, and quality.
  • Support new business and development projects with Sales and Engineering.
  • Contribute to risk management and sustainability initiatives.
  • Report sourcing results, risks, and opportunities to management.

Qualifications

  • Higher education within Supply Chain, Economics, Production, Engineering, or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in strategic sourcing or procurement in an industrial environment (hydraulics knowledge is a plus).
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier development skills.
  • Understanding of value chains, manufacturing environments, and cost drivers.
  • Experience with ERP and e-sourcing tools.
  • Fluent in English and Swedish.
